I don’t have a clever caption for this photo. Taken this morning, on the Redondo Beach Pier, I’m happy to boast that this is my Photo of the Day.
With gorgeous light, fast Nikon glass, and a willing subject (Just what was it that this gull was saying?), a photographer can get the goods.
But I think there’s more to it.
Being at one of my favorite spots—the pier at King Harbor, Redondo Beach, was a great way to start my day. “The Pier” has taken a few beatings over the 50 plus years I’ve known it, yet it still stands. Wisdom comes with barnacle-encrusted pilings.
